The test is only open to those who have already registered with the Institute of Charted Accountants of India for the course and fulfill the Eligibility Criteria.
The exam is held twice every year in the months of June and December
Candidates who have registered themselves for CPT 60 days prior to the first day of the month in which the exam is to be conducted i.e. on or before April 1st and October 1st can appear in CPT exam to be held in June and December respectively.
This year the exam will be held on 14th June, 2015, Sunday in Two Sessions.
• The test is objective type multiple-choice question based examination
• Candidates can opt for Hindi medium question paper booklet for answering the questions
• First Session will be held in Morning from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
• Second Session will be held in afternoon from 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.

The Information Brochure containing CPT application form will be available at the Regional and Branch Offices of the Institute and can be obtained on a cash payment from 7th April, 2015
Complete application forms should be sent to reach the Additional Secretary (Examinations) at New Delhi not later than 28th April, 2015
The candidates who fill up the examination application form online at http://icaiexam.icai.org from 7th April, 2015 (10.00 hrs.) to 28th April, 2015 (17.30 hrs.) and remit the fee online by using either VISA or MASTER Credit/ Debit Card shall not be charged Rs. 500/- (i.e. cost of application form fee) .
